I love getting back to nature in my down time and the bugs at play in Wild Antics slot are just the ticket for a reel spinning wind down. This could be our “wildest” slot since Wild Toro, and by that I mean there are a lot of wild features in this game.

The Basics
This insect-themed slot is buzzing with four bonus games and a frantic base game with plenty of those delicious looking ants. Let’s just say this game has a lot of features. We are in similar company to the Ted Slot with this one, so make sure you’ve had your espresso!
The Graphics
The game has gone all out to produce movie quality graphics that make the game feel more “big screen” than small.
And while you play there’s some great perky music to help you through the tiny world of garden danger.
Playing the Wild Antics Slot
The Wild Antics slot plays out over 20 pay-lines, 3 rows and 5 reels. Prior to playing this game, I had the Esqueleto Explosivo slot as the maddest game in town, but I might just have to change my mind after having played Wild Antics.
The bugs on this micro-scaled world are the most valuable icons on the reels. The Wild comes top of the symbols with an ant in a flower worth 500 coins for five on an active pay-line. The natural world has such an abundance of wealth!
Other high value symbols include a caterpillar, a ladybird and a snail, plus there’s the game’s logo too.
Blueprint are known for their game innovation, and they aren’t satisfied with giving you a single Bonus to try and make your wins. There are a family of four different ants (Queen, worker, solider and colonel) and an “ant-agonist”, a greedy ant-consuming aardvark, each of which has a part to play when it comes to dishing out the extra.
The Bonuses
Random Jet Pack Antics
This is where the Wild Antics slot starts to get really fun. At random, you can trigger one of four base game bonus treats.
If the slot gods are on your side, you might get a spin with one of the following extras.
- The ant-gobbling aardvark may launch Aardvark Antics which makes reels turn Wild- adding 40 extra win lines to your spins.
- Then there’s Colossal Antics which brings over-sized wilds into the game for potentially more wins.
- And there’s Wild Antics where the ants march onto the reels again, but this time they bear gifts in the shape of Wilds.
- The insects may also become Frantic Ants, joining the reels and re-arranging the symbols to give you a win. The game starts to go a little crazy! It’s all good fun though.
The Feature Bonus
You trigger the bonus in Wild Antics slot by landing the aardvark on reels 1 and 3 and one of those cheeky ant symbols on reel 5. The insect treasure is then ready for picking. It’s time to grab your poking stick and start fishing for ants!
Top of my hit list is the Queen Ant Colossal Roaming Wild. You get a free spin and if the Queen ant lands on the reels, she doesn’t do things by half. She’ll arrive as a giant icon covering 3 x 3 symbol spots. Now that’s why we love our Queen and Country!
You also need to watch out for the Colonel Ant Expanding Roaming Wilds. You will enjoy your free spin with any Wilds on the reels “roaming” positions to make wins. And if two Wilds arrive in the same position they trigger an expansion over the reel. That’s upped the “ante”!
Look out for the Soldier Ant Multiplying Roaming Wild where errant Wilds roam the reels (phew, that was a mouthful). If two land in the same spot, you’ll get a x2 -x5 multiplier. Not half bad.
And last but not least, keep your ears and eyes open for Worker Ant Roaming Wilds. You will play your free game and any Wild that lands will roam the reels to try and help you make you a win. They’re good workers those Roaming Ants.
Monkey Verdict
The Wild Antics slot is teeming with good looks and a smorgasbord of extras with those base Jet Pack features and the quartet of free spinning Wild antics. My only slight concern is the complexity of the game, but you’ll soon get the hang of it. It’s quite an entertainer- I haven’t has this much fun since watching the Banana Splits when I was a wee chimp.
