Odin’s Riches
Odin is King of Asgard, father to Thor and Loki and now he’s got a whole slot devoted to him and his Riches thanks to Games Global (formerly Microgaming) and Just For The Win.
Expect cluster pays in this Viking theme game along with wins of 5000x your bet. Now that doesn’t match the heights of the Folsom Prison slot, granted, but it’s a pretty hefty jackpot, all the same.
The Graphics
Forget bearded deities and vivid Valhalla backdrops – the look and feel here is decidedly minimal. With a deep red background, your reel grid is kept simple and framed with gold, and the soundtrack is drum heavy. This hasn’t got the illustration quality of something like PearFiction Studios’ Blazing Mammoth slot but that said, it’s a very smart looking game.

Odin’s Riches Slot Game Play
Odin’s Riches slot is played out on a 7 x 7 reel grid unlike more traditional games (such as the Hot Bonus Joker slot for example).
To make wins, you must hit clusters of 5 matching icons or more horizontally and/or vertically.
Rolling Reels (or cascade drops) are also in play, meaning winning icons are removed and replaced by more symbols dropping in from above, continuing till no more wins are made.
Your premium icons include; a wolf, a dragon, a snake and some birds while the lower values are represented by various runes in green, red, yellow and purple.
The Bonuses
Odin’s Wilds
This base game bonus is triggered randomly, and up to 9x extra Wilds will be added to the reels. Which is highly generous if you ask me…
Symbol Meter and Mini Games
To the left of the reels you’ll see a Bonus O’ Meter. For every 25 winnings symbols in a row one of the segments will be filled and you’ll set off these:
25 icons = Dragon’s Riches
5x matching symbols will form a win in any position on the reels.
50 icons = Wolf’s Hunger
All low value symbols are removed, allowing for a new cascade drop
75 icons = Serpent’s Wisdom
All low value symbols are upgraded up to a higher value icon for better pays
100 = Raven’s Flight
2x diagonal lines are placed on the reels. Any icons within that zone are removed except for wilds. Next, another 5x wilds and you’ll get a new cascade.
Bonus Rounds
If you hit 125 symbols in a row and fill the meter completely, you’ll be awarded 7x Free Spins with 1 of the 4 Mini features active on each FreeSpin. A win multiplier will start at x1 and increase by x1 on each new mini game.
The Monkey Verdict
The Odin’s Riches slot is an excellent game in the Games Global portfolio; in fact it feels a lot like we have stepped into a Play’n GO release or we’re spinning something like Eternal Phoenix Megaways from Blueprint. That’s what the Just For The Win collaboration is doing for them I guess.
Still, this is not a bad thing. It’s nice to see the slot giants keeping up with innovation and this game does just that.
